How Budget Like A Pro works
Four steps take you from "I think I'm okay" to a number you can act on.
1. Add your income
Salary, and anything else that reliably arrives. Weekly, four-weekly and monthly pay cycles are all converted to a monthly figure for you.
2. Add what's already committed
Rent or mortgage, bills, insurance, travel, subscriptions and debt repayments — plus the yearly costs most budgets forget, spread across the months before they land.
3. See what you can safely spend
One dominant figure: what's left each month once everything committed is accounted for. That's the money that's genuinely free.
4. Plan the things you enjoy
Create a goal for a holiday, a weekend away or a big purchase. Money is set aside for it automatically, and you can see the effect on the next 3, 6 and 12 months before you commit.
Spending stays inside the plan
Money assigned to a goal is held for that goal rather than sitting in one shared balance you can dip into. Goals can be dated, repeated, given sub-goals — flights, food, days out — and opened only in the window you chose. It's the difference between hoping the money lasts and knowing it will.
Try it without an account
Every calculator on this site is free and needs no sign-up: future spending planner, holiday budget calculator and the disposable income calculator. The methodology page explains the maths in full.
